Possible bug: added_to_cart event always triggered

    It looks like the “added_to_cart” event is now always triggered in the Astra theme file mobile-cart.js (or at least on WooCommerce product pages) when the page is loaded, and not only when an item is added to the cart. This seems to be something that was added in the most recent version of Astra (4.8.10). This is causing issues where other plugins/code might perform actions specifically after adding an item to the cart e.g. a dropdown list needs to cleared of all options after adding an item to the cart, but now the dropdown list is always cleared when the page is loaded (nothing added to the cart) and becomes unusable, which is not correct. Could this be a bug?

    I have tested the cart action on my end and it seems to be working fine. Refer to this screencast, please. Could you please confirm if this is the thing you are referring to? If not, I would request to share a similar screencast so that we can get a better understanding of the issue. Also, it would be helpful if you can share the complete URL of the product page.

    Thanks for your reply. Yes, the actual add to cart functionality might be working correctly, but the problem is that the “add_to_cart” event is always triggered on page load in the Astra theme code. This might not normally have an effect on the front-end (probably because there is nothing to add). However, if other third-party plugins or other code need to do something when a product is added to the cart this action now happens on page load, because Astra now always triggers this action. This can cause other code to work incorrectly.

    Our customer who discovered this issue said that they reported this to Astra with screenshots and a staging copy of their site and it sounds like they are investigating. I will post more detail here if they are unable to resolve this.
