# Possible bug.

 * I’m not sure this is the place for bug reports, but seeing as there’s a lot of
   people having this problem, I thought I’d describe it here. My website, for reference,
   is [http://thelemur.net/wordpress](http://thelemur.net/wordpress)
    at least, 
   until I have it migrated to the new server:
 * This appears to be a deeper problem with the actual coding of WordPress.
 * Firefox appears to be interpreting the information from the rss link as html,
   and I get this:

 * but as far as I can tell, the XML output is *identical* to the output when I 
   use the wordpress classic theme. and if I do it there I get:
    [http://thelemur.net/images/feed.rss](http://thelemur.net/images/feed.rss)
 * Internet Explorer throws an error using either theme:
    with WordPress classic:
 * >  A semi colon character was expected.
   >  Line: 18 Character: 49
   >  <link>[http://thelemur.net/wordpress/?p=1&cpage=1#comment-1</link&gt](http://thelemur.net/wordpress/?p=1&cpage=1#comment-1</link&gt);
 * with my custom theme:
 * > Invalid xml declaration.
   >  Line: 2 Character: 3
   >  <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><rss version=”2.0″
 * And Opera does this using WordPress Classic:
    [http://thelemur.net/images/xml.jpg](http://thelemur.net/images/xml.jpg)
 * in my theme it does the same thing as Firefox.

 * Are there any plans to correct this code? it has the same performance in a fresh
   installation – clicking an RSS link in any browser but firefox gives an error.
