Portfolios and Sliders

I bought an advanced theme from ThemeForest. It’s called Whip. I am having such a hard time figuring out how to create my portfolio. I have added in several images and they are listed under the portfolio section. I have prior experience with my simple wordpress page based on Forever by Automattic.

I’m wondering if I can just use Twenty Eleven and insert a flash portfolio that I created on my old website.
I’m afraid I’m not much of a HTML whiz! Help!
