At the minute I understand you can edit the templates within assets/templates in the plugin folder itself, however if I work on multiple projects using this template, I want to have the archive-portfolio.php and portfolio.php templates within my theme folder.

If I just copy the templates over to my theme folder and edit them, it still references the template files within the plugins folder. Could we make it so that if it detects these files in the theme folder, it uses those instead of the ones in the plugin folder?

    Thanks!

    Danny

    I anticipated this case…
If you put portfolio.php, archive-portfolio.php and single-portfolio.php in your theme directory, in a folder named templates, those files will have the priority.
