    Hi Mirko!

Not sure if you’re still looking for a solution, but here are the steps:

    1.
Create a page from “Pages” that you want to use as the front page. Call it anything you want.

    2. In that new page you created select the template “Portfolio” from the metabox “Page Attributes”. Click “Publish”.

    3. Go the WP Settings – Reading. Click the radio button “A static page” then select as “Front Page” the page you just created, which is using the “Portfolio” template. Click “Save Changes” and visit your site.

    Hope this helped!

    Hi Andy,
I have a similar question. How do you create portfolio items on the portfolio page? I can add media, but the portfolio items do not display separately.

Also, how do I remove the widget bar from the portfolio page?

I also do not see how to add the introductory blurb with categories to the portfolio page. Essentially i am trying to set up the front page exactly like it is in the demo. Here is my current site:

    Thank you,
