    Hi.

One of your plugins or custom JS code hides img tag. Try to disable plugins one by one and check if the problem remains.

    Regards, nK.

    Hi nK,

thank you for your message. I’ve disabled all of the plugins, but visual portfolio (it was the only left active). Unfortunately, the problem persists even when the other plugins are disabled.

    Kind regards

    Hi.

I still see changed styles on the img tag. Our plugin doesn’t change it, this is on your side.

Please, make sure you disabled all plugins and cleared cache.

p.s. maybe theme scripts changed image tag visibility, you can also try to use another theme for a testing purpose.

    Regards, nK.

    Hi nK,

thank you for the screenshot. Unfortunately after disabling all of the plugins and clearing cach the problem still persists. So it is not a plugin related issue.
However switching this theme to Twenty Seventeen for a testing purpose (with all of the plugins enabled) resolves the issue. So definitely, the problem is theme related.

The theme uses an awful Chery Framework 3.x and it has its own portfolio tab.

The support team of the template at Template Monster says that they are not supporting 3rd party plugins. It is a vicious circle.

Any ideas how I should proceed to diagnose the problem?

You can only fix this by customizing theme code or writing an extra script, that will show the image after the theme script hides it. Unfortunately, I can’t help you with it.
