Hello,
I didn’t understand it. Just copy the shortcode and add it where you want to display the portfolio. Did you set the featured image for the portfolio items?
So the Category is the category set on the Portfolio page?
http://mirrorstaging.wpengine.com/before-and-after-gallery-of-mirror-frames/
I click on it and I get this page:
http://mirrorstaging.wpengine.com/portfolio-category/b4after/
Still no gallery
You can see it won’t display.
Please add featured images for the portfolio items. After that create a shortcode and add it to a page. It will work.
http://mirrorstaging.wpengine.com/before-and-after-gallery-of-mirror-frames/
This page has the shortcode on it.
Nothing.
Click on the box.
Nothing.
Featured image on the portfolio is set
Hello,
It is displaying the portfolio section. Try to change the image size from the portfolio shortcode settings.
Image side is medium 300×300 already.
I changed them to Large. Now I see them.
Now how do I get them formatted like on the documentation page screensshots?
You can style it from the Style and Image tab of the portfolio settings.
Which page do styles and image tabs affect?
http://mirrorstaging.wpengine.com/portfolio/before-after-gallery/
This one isn’t affected.
So I just don’t get how this works….
I create a Portfolio Post and in that paragraph I select a series of images from the Media Library and put them in the body/paragraph of this post. I give this post a Category
Then I have to create a shortcode that uses the Category for the portfolio page above right?
Or Do I create a portolio for each image in the Media library I want giving each one the same category.
Then the shortcode will pull them all in?
Which way is it?
Wish there was a tutorial for this!
Really what I’d like to do is select all the images from my Media Library at once. I have over 50 before and after images I want to put into the gallery.
What’s the correct steps to do this?
I’m confused. Do you want to create a gallery or portfolio?
Follow the documentation for the portfolio – https://docs.oceanwp.org/category/447-portfolio
Well I guess I don’t see them as different really 😉 I guess they could be in reality.
I didn’t understand. Did you change the color for the links, title background etc?
I modified some of the settings to set border and such.
I am have a portfolio of before and after images I want to feature. So I thought maybe the Portfolio plugin might be good for this but maybe a gallery plugin will be better in this case?
It depends on you what do you want to achieve exactly. Use anyone that fits your need.
