Porblem after deactivate
-
Hello,
I am currently using the Specific Content For Mobile plugin (version 0.5.4).
I have noticed that as soon as I deactivate the plugin, Google can no longer index my homepage. Here are the details:
- With the plugin activated, the site is fully visible to Google (also confirmed in the Mobile-Friendly Test and PageSpeed Insights).
- When the plugin is deactivated, I can still access the site normally in my browser, but Google Search Console reports that the page cannot be indexed. PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix also show errors in that case.
- The plugin adds the parameter
?scfm-mobile=1to the URL.
My question:
Why does the plugin affect the indexability of my site, when it should only handle mobile content output according to its description?
Do I need to manually add certain meta tags, headers, or other settings when deactivating the plugin to maintain indexability?Thank you for your support!
Best regards
