• So I consider myself a pretty good troubleshooter in the sense that I can usually solve my wordpress problems by reading topics on this forum or finding answers elsewhere on the web. However, I can’t find anything on my current issue anywhere!

Essentially, whenever someone visits the home page, a modal window pops up saying:

    The page at cusosports.com says
    URL incorrect
    [Ok]

You would think if my URL was incorrect for my homepage that I’d be having bigger issues besides pop-ups! I always have to click ok and everything else runs fine. I’d say it started about 2 days ago, I haven’t installed any new updates or plugins, and this message shows up in IE, Chrome, and Mozilla. Does anyone have an idea on why it is doing this, and how I’d be able to fix it?

    Thanks!

For reference, and to see it in action: http://www.cusosports.com

  • It’s not on the one interior page I checked. I’d bet it comes from your home page slider script. BTW cool site I dig the Dubai JetPack

Hmm, so something I should probably contact the company I purchased my theme from then, if its an issue with the slider script.

And thanks! That article’s been one of the more popular ones, and the people in Dubai even followed us on twitter after the fact haha.

    Hello…

The error that you are receiving has nothing to do with the actual URL of your site. The error is being thrown because your google ad’s script is loading incorrectly. I would bet the URL being referenced in the google ad is using the wrong URL.

    Evan,

Appreciate the help! To check and see if it was the google ad script, I went ahead and removed all of the ads form my site. However, the message still pops up. I feel like its gotta be because of something that I only have on my homepage, because my home page is the only one affected. I’ll leave the ads off for a little bit until we can figure it out.

Evan, what made you think it was google ad script causing the problem? I’m wondering if is has to do with some other google aspect of my site…

Update: I believe that there is something wrong with the google analytics on my site.

When the pop up is there, I see “transferring from google-analytics.com”, and some other forums seem to have noticed that only half of their home pages will load when they get this issue. Still looking into it, but thinking that the google analytics is taking place slightly before page load in my header
