Popup Positioning
-
Hi. I am using the petition widget in the homepage, but the popup is not layered properly. I’m guessing this is a z index problem/conflict with the theme. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks

I looked at the widget at https://speakout.123host.net.au/ and I could see what you were saying. Digging into developer tools I found it is the
<article>
element that is the problem.Can you confirm that if you scroll down the popup moves to the front? That is happening for me in FireFox.
Hi, thanks for looking into this issue. When I look at the popup on my site, the behavior is the same for me on Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Brave. The popup remains behind several elements while scrolling.
Looking at it on https://speakout.123host.net.au, it does move to the front while scrolling through the page, but then the blog text pops to the front again when scrolling all the way to the top or bottom.

Yes, I should have mentioned the top and bottom thing.
A bit of investigation shows it seems to be theme related. I installed TwentySeventeen and it didn’t happen at all.
On my theme, TwentyFifteen, you have seen the results.
Which theme are you using, I will give that a try.
Thanks for that.
This is going to be tricky. Different themes use different CSS and work differently.
Know that I am working on this 😛
thanks, i’ve seen some plugin updates go through. still having issues with the embed form not submitting and the css layering. would you be able to email me to see if we could come up with a solution together? thanks!
