I would like to add that the popup works if i open it through the Popup Maker Admin Toolbar, but not if i try to open it through the buttons on the page itself. It just scrolls up to the top again withoug showing me anything
Hi,
I have the same problem for all my websites since this morning. The popup works in Elementor when I click on the link but doesn’t work when I open the site (the page scrolls to the top).

Hello @zaraki23
Thank you for reaching out to us and we are sorry to hear you are having this trouble on your site.
I was able to replicate the issue on the popup. Indeed, selecting the elements connected to the popup scrolls the page on top instead of displaying the popup.
Upon investigation, one of the assets in your theme which is theme.vanilla.min.js is causing an issue on the popup. It could probably have an error on the script and affects the popup. If I blocked the network not to load that script, the popup displays properly.

To verify this on your end, kindly check our documentation Test if a Plugin or Theme Interferes with Popup Maker
Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin.
If you still need help please message us directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/

Hi,
thanks for your help! With the ‘Health Check’ Plugin Troubleshoot i was able to identify the ‘Ocean WP’ theme as the problem.
Do you have any tips on how to fix this without breaking the site?
Edit:
Just tried to reinstall the theme but still the same problems..

I tried a dirty workaround by just deleting the theme.vanilla.min.js file from oceanwp/assets/js. It doenst break anything as far as i can notice and the popup works again. I hope someone finds a better way to fix this but it works for now

Hello @olley
Thank you for your reply.
It seems the issue is not on the popup, but on the javascript of the theme. It has a conflict and affects the popup. It is not advisable to delete an asset of a theme as this could affect how your WordPress theme functions.
Apologies, but there isn’t much we can do as the issue is on the theme’s javascript. It is best to consult the theme author or their support as they have a better understanding of how the theme is coded.
We hope for your kind understanding on this matter. If you still need help with Popup Maker, kindly message at directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/
@olley @zaraki23 I am also having this same issue after updating a site that uses the OceanWP theme. I checked the OceanWP plugin on a backup version of the site and I don’t see that theme.vanilla.min.js file, so it seems they may have added that recently. Hopefully they will fix the conflict soon.
I did find a suitable workaround for my needs that doesn’t involve modifying or deleting the theme.vanilla.min.js file, perhaps it will help you out as well:
I had initially used the approach of placing the popmake ID in the href attribute, and was having the same issues occurring that you described. I removed that ID from the href, and instead applied the ID to the anchor tag as a class, which has restored the expected functionality.
Hope this helps!

Hi, I am having the same problem. I tried your solution but I cannot figure out how it is applied correctly. What do you mean by “…instead applied the ID to the anchor tag as a class”?
