  • I am interested in knowing the answer to this as well! I am using the popups essentially as pages, so would like the option of sending links to coworkers instead of a link to the page and directions on opening the popup

@jaimeetriplescoopbiz – I think I understand but am not 100% sure. Can you give me an example link and how it would work?

I’m not sure if I can find another site that uses this idea, but it would be really great on my end to be able to see triplescoop.biz/popmake-123, then be able to copy and paste that into an email, tweet, or what have you.

To be specific, I’m using the popups as our Bio pages, so if I want to tell a person about one of our team members, I have to direct them to the Team page & tell them to click their picture. I would like to just send “triplescoop.biz/popmake-123” so that they can view just the profile they want to.

This would also help with the builder plugin I use to build my pages. For some reason it doesn’t recognize the popmake elements and I can only link to hyperlinks.

I am trying to have a popup open when someone clicks on the title or featured image in a posts used in a sidebar widget.

If you look at this page…
    https://www.civitana.com/demos/
on the right sidebar there are some posts. Each post has a title and a featured image. Right now they redirect to a new page via the “Page Links To” field in the post. Is there a way to change the url that is in that field to open a popup instead of redirecting to a new page?

@luccisa – Your looking for something like our Remote Content extension which can be used to turn those links into popups.

@jaimeetriplescoopbiz – Gotcha. Will see what I can do in the future. You could do it using JavaScript currently.

Not sure I have communicated what I need very well. It doesn’t look like the Remote content extension is what I am looking for. Perhaps I have misunderstood the nature of the extension, but I am not trying to load a page as a popup. I am trying to open a popup from a URL? Is there a short code to do that?

Quick update, I figured out how to make the title of the post open the popup, but I am not able to make the featured image of the post open the popup. There is no field for the CSS when I open the image or the image editor. Is there a way to set the featured image to open the popup?

Never mind this, I found a work around. I really appreciate the effort to help me though.

Instead of the feature image, I just inserted the image into the post and now I can add the css for the popup. For the titles, I am just using some HTML a href=”#” class=”popmake-#”>Title and so on and that seems to work just fine.
