I have a form that I created to request goods and services from a charitable organization. There are certain goods and services that are offered at a fixed price and other items where the purchaser is allowed to make an offering of their choice (no pre-set amounts). When it comes time to “check out”, the Paypal option doesn’t appear to have any way to set the Description and Donation Amount from information gathered (and computed) on the rest of the form. I need to be able to transfer this information from the form to Paypal.

I then noticed you have the Smart Donations PRO option of creating a custom form. I thought I could maybe use that to accomplish what I want, but there, I also only see pre-set options for amounts. Are you suggesting there is no way to tell Paypal to take an arbitrary (computed) amount for the donation?

@bbk93, I really appreciate you taking time to respond to my question. It may not have been obvious from my post, but I purchased the full shabang. Professional license and all the add-ons. With both the Paypal option and the Smart Donations option, I see nothing that allows me to populate the description or amount from an element in the form. Instead, it appears that by selecting any of the paypal options, the form designer must pre-populate a hard-coded description and amount. It doesn’t appear to support the notion of having a form that acts like an “order sheet” that accumulates multiple line items and then allows you to bill the total amount (i.e. a computed amount that changes with the context of the form).

If you know of a way to do this, I’d really appreciate you letting me know the procedure.

By the way, I wrote a separate direct email to Edgar, but he has yet to respond.

    Hello!

Sorry for the delay, unfortunately it is not possible to add multiple lines, just one line with the total this total could be dynamic though, you just need to setup the formula that will be used to calculate the total: https://sfmanual.rednao.com/documentation/add-ons/paypal/creating-a-paypal-form/

Btw, due the rules of this forum i can only provide support about topics related to the free version so if you have a question about the add ons or a full version feature please create a support ticket here: https://smartforms.rednao.com/contactme/

    Regards!
