HI. I love this plugin. Unfortunately it started crashing mysql. Sorry if this topic has been covered but I don’t know where to look to find it.
Here is what my guy at managed hosting told me:
“it seems that there is a specific MySQL query that is causing the issue:
DELETE FROM wp_popularpostsdatacache WHERE id IN (SELECT c.id FROM (SELECT id FROM wp_popularpostsdatacache GROUP BY id) c LEFT JOIN wp_posts p ON c.id = p.ID
WHERE p.ID IS NULL OR p.post_status = ‘trash’)
This query seems to be generated by the “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin. Disabling the plugin should fix the issue. Alternatively, you should be able to fix the issue by converting the affected tables to innodb:
ADDING IN A FOLLOW UP: I don’t suggest you switch to InnoDB as it can cause major database corruption and therefor downtime at any moment for any reason.”
These guys won’t help past this point. If someone can point me in right direction that would be great. I don’t do much database stuff, but I have in the past. I hope this is something I can fix! I don’t want to delete this! Thanks.
