I use formidable forms and pop up maker to create a pop up login form.

Works great when users enter the correct username/password combo. The pop up vanishes and they are logged in to the front end of the site.

However, if, say, the password is incorrect, the pop up vanishes without the user being told that the password is incorrect. They have to click on the login link again and then it will tell them the username or password was incorrect.

What I would like to do is having the pop up stay open if there is a login error, and close only if the user successfully logs in or they close it manually.

Any thoughts on how I could do that?

    Thanks,

    Chris

PS: Under ‘pop up settings > close’, I have the ‘close on form submission’ unchecked.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @christopheran

Thank you for reaching out and we apologize for the delayed response.

It seems the issue is on the settings of the form. Kindly enable the AJAX in the Formidable Forms. Ajax refreshes only the form when the user hits submit by exchanging data with the server and updating parts of a web page without reloading the whole page and continue to display the popup.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin.
If you still need help please message us directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/

    Hi Bel,

Unfortunately, Formidable Forms support says their login form doesn’t support ajax…

Any other thoughts on resolving this?

    Thanks,

    Chris
