Support » Plugin: Conditional Discounts for WooCommerce » Poor writen, rules don’t work as expected

  • The plugin throws fatal errors, and countless php warnings when settings aren’t correctly applied in the WP-admin UI. The plugin needs to be rewritten to prevent fatal errors and warnings when settings aren’t correct. After that is addressed, the plugin needs to catch and report missing inputs before discounts are allowed to publish.

Rules don’t work as expected. For example a free gift, it was always appearing in the cart, and just charged for. The gift only needs to be put in the cart when the rule criteria is met, and removed when it’s not. This doesn’t happen.

A decent concept and a plugin that would be useful if it wasn’t poorly written, and would work as expected.

Our plugin is very stable but somehow you managed to make it crash by generating fatal error. But when we offered to take a look and debug you refused and preferred a full refund instead which has been processed. I completely understand that but just so you know: we managed to create exactly the type of discount you wanted on our own installation to make sure our plugin is not buggy somehow and it’s working perfectly. And that means our plugin is working when configured properly just like any other plugin or app. Conflicts may occurs in specific conditions and in order to replicate them, we need to access the environment when they occur.

Code is not magic. And simply because you don’t understand something done not mean it’s poorly written. Human error has a higher probability to break something and we cannot do more than offer our technical support in order to make our product work in your environment. I’m sorry you wasted your time with our plugin. Good luck finding one that will work right out of the box.
