 * It is very sad that the support for major WordPress plugins is so slow. Not even
   one response from the developer about the serious issues appeared. I have seen
   the ‘mysql real escape’ post ([http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-39-and-php-55-does-not-support-mysql_?replies=3](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-39-and-php-55-does-not-support-mysql_?replies=3))
   almost one week ago, and there is still no fix for this. I am wondering if there
   is any kind of testing before releasing a new version.
 * I guess support is available only when paying….

 * Yes, poor support – unless one becomes a premium subscriber, I suppose.

 * This issue is being addressed in the next release, due any day now: [http://www.wordfence.com/blog/](http://www.wordfence.com/blog/)
 * _This is a minor maintenance release. The changes in this release are:_
 * Fix: Removed mysql_real_escape_string because it’s deprecated. Using WP’s internal
   escape.
    Fix: Wordfence issues list would be deleted halfway through scan under
   certain conditions. Fix: Connection tester would generate php error under certain
   conditions.

 * [@fesarlis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fesarlis/) When you posted this
   the fix for the issue was in beta testing already and we had already published
   the fact that we’d fixed it on our blog:
 * [http://www.wordfence.com/blog/2014/04/wordfence-5-0-5-beta-1-is-now-available/](http://www.wordfence.com/blog/2014/04/wordfence-5-0-5-beta-1-is-now-available/)
 * The fix was released 24 hours ago after our beta testers approved it and is in
   the current version.
 * Regards,
 * Mark.
