Have been struggling to use Memberlite theme and the paid memberships pro plugin but find them too restrictive. The member-navigation menu only has 2 levels. Paid support is expensive as are the Pro versions. I’ve gone over to Astra theme with AR-member plugin which is only $20 USD. It works brilliantly and has many levels of menu! Would highly recommend this combination for membership/restricted content

    Hi, Benjamin.

I’m sorry PMPro and Memberlite didn’t work out for you. I’m glad Astra and AR member are working.

I’m not sure what you mean by this. You’ve probably moved on, but if you could give us details on what you were trying to do, it would help other users. If you add more than 2 levels to a nav menu with Memberlite, it will expand the menus as expected. I just tested this. Maybe it was a certain menu in a certain use case.

Note that the full code for both PMPro and Memberlite and all of our add ons are open source and available for free at wordpress.org or GitHub.com. The majority of our users use these plugins and themes without paying, but there is a paid plan for paid support and automatic updates of plugins we host ourselves.

I noticed you posted the same exact review on the Memberlite page. You accidentally gave us 5 stars there though.

After a bit of testing, I notice that while the “primary” menu supports > 2 levels of menus, the “meta” menu area only supports 2. The “footer” menu area supports just 1. These were design decisions. We can reevaluate them. There are likely easy CSS work arounds. Other users who need this functionality but otherwise like Memberlite and aren’t associated with competing products can post in the forums on wordpress.org here and we typically can help with stuff like this. 🙂
