Support » Plugin: Permalink Manager Lite » Polylang same URI for different languages

  • Resolved alainmelsens

Is it possible to make the same URI for many different languages? I use the free Polylang plugin. I have 3 languages: English, Dutch and French.
I have 3 different pages in these 3 languages but I want that the URI will have the same name. For example the same URI should be test. In fact I need to have 3 different URL’s.
    I have and and
I have tried that, but it’s allways only the English version of the page that appears for all the 3 different URI I have made to the 3 different pages that exists.
Sorry, I’m only testing on a localhost development environment. I don’t have a live website to share.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi @alainmelsens,

Could you check if “WPML/Polylang language mismatch” option is turned on in Permalink Manager settings?

    Hi Maciej,
I have retried on a local copy of my previous website. And this copy was token before I have installed the Permalink Mananger Lite.
Now, I have simply installed Permalink Manager Lite without change anything in the settings of Permalink Manager Lite. So, indeed the “WPML/Polylang language mismatch” is turned on by default.
And to finished I have also made 3 different pages in different languages. Then I have change the new Permalink URI within Permalink Mamanger Lite to one and the same last part of the URI. So, what I need is to have and and
And yes, now it’s working as expected. Really amazing. 🙂
I must also say that on the other website, before I installed Permalink Manager Lite, I also did some tests with an other older Polylang plugin to allow the same slug for multiple languages in Polylang. I have deactivated it and deleted but maybe this was not a good idea to test it before installing Permalink Manager Lite?
Anyway, for me it’s solved and this is really very good news.
Permalink Manager Lite seems to be amazing to solve some good multilangual SEO hints.
    Thank you very much.
Keep going the good works! 😉
