I am using Polylang Version 1.0.1. with English and French.. I have set the default language to English and created posts in both languages that are connected to each other.

Everything looks fine on the posts pages .. The English switch to French and Vise Versa. However, on the home page (which set to the Latest post) when I switch to French only the String Translation show up in French but not the French posts.

    Can any help!

Did you try with a WordPress default theme and also without other plugins to detect any conflict?

Thanks .. it seems the problem is with the theme as it's taking the English posts only.

Question: is there a way to create one category and assign both languages to?

    Is your theme freely downloadable?

You can't assign two languages to a category. Did you asked the question because your theme queries a specific category of some specific usage?

It is a paid for theme (Apollo Modern Magazine Newspaper Template), according to the developer, there are javascript conflict between theme’s script and plugin’s script.

and yes the slider used on the home page is puling the posts of one English category. as well as the recent posts are pulled from another category, both categories synced with French posts.

I am going to go through the documentation if I can find a work around solution.

However, if you have any ideas, Please let me know It will be appreciated.

Javascript conflict? Is the theme using ajax on frontend?

I am currently working on a way to auto translate the categories. That is: if your theme is querying a specific category, you just have to translate it and Polylang will automatically sends the correct category to the theme. Maybe you can try this.

Paste http://pastebin.com/utLLn1cu in a php file that you upload in your plugins directory, then activate the new plugin.
