    I have strange problem since i’ve updated my polylang plugin.

    When I update my existing posts polylang creates dublicate of tag with language value (for example, ‘tag’ becomes ‘tag-ru’) and assign this tag to post.

    This is kinda annoying, because it messes up with my custom queries(posts by tag)

    Is this an required option or a bug? And how can I avoid this?

    Permalinks settings – http://domain.com/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
    Polylang version – 1.4.2
    WP version – 3.8.1

    p.s. sorry for my bad english and thanks for any help

    To be sure I understand what happens

    You have an existing post in Russian with a tag named “tag”. You edit the post content, don’t touch the tags and you click on the update button and it creates a new tag named “tag-ru”. Am I right?

    Does it happen whatever you post is translated in another language or not?

    Is synchronization for taxonomies activated in Polylang settings?

    Did you try to check if this happens when no other plugin is activated and when you are using a default theme (tewenty twelve)?

    Thanks for response!

    Yes, it happens exactly that way and assigns “tag-ru” to post. So, on output I have post with tag “tag-ru” (without “tag”).

    In my tags tab (Dashboard) it looks like this:
    “estate” -> label “estate”
    “estate” -> label “estate-ru”

    That posts doesn’t have translated versions and I turned off synchronization for taxonomies after the first time this happened.

    I’ll try default theme without plugins and reply.

    Hello,

    Is this ‘estate’ tag in Russian or in another language?
