 * Hi,
 * I have a speed problem on my website. Since I have installed Polylang, I noticed
   a very slow response time of the server. It takes 4-5s in order to send back
   the response. That happens only on the homepage (for the default language). If
   I check the speed for other pages with GTmetrix, everythings is ok. I don’t understand
   why.
 * p.s. If I uninstall every language in Polylang, the problem disappears.
 * Thanks,
    Gianluca

 * Hello,
 * When I visit [https://www.novagraficasrl.it/](https://www.novagraficasrl.it/),
   I have the following results:
    1. About 100 ms for DNS lookup and server connection(
   incl. SSL) 2. About 300 ms for the TTFB (the time spent by your server to load
   WP, the theme, plugins and create your page). 3. About 400 ms to download the
   page. 4. Then about 3 seconds to download fonts, images and scripts.
 * Polylang should impact the step 2 (the time that it takes to create your page
   in PHP). It may depend on your setup, but this impact should be around 15-25%.
   However it looks like you are using a cache plugin. In such case, there is no
   more impact as the served page is already created.
 * Furthermore, as you did not add any language switcher, Polylang has a minor impact
   on your content length << 1%, so the impact is negligible on step 3.
 * Finally, there is no image, no font and no js added by Polylang. So there should
   be no impact on tep 4. As this is by far the longest step, it looks like this
   is where you can further optimize your site’s performance.
