Polylang language switcher

    Hi I am using Polylang for 2 languages.. French and English. I am using XTRA theme and everything seems fine and I was able to add the language switcher on to the header area. I also managed to remove the flags as client requested.

    However I cannot change the drop down option of the switcher. The client wants the language options to be side by side OR just ONE button of the opposite language showing up to click and load that translation.

    I read through the Polylang help docs and it says the flags can be shown horizonataly with a simple CSS change. However this has not changed it for me may be I do not have the flags showing.

    Hi,

    Your site doesn’t use the Polylang language switcher. It is directly outputed by your theme which detected the presence of Polylang. Please contact your theme support for any help regarding this language switcher.

    Thanks for the reply.. yes I kind of realized that while going through it.

    My theme is Xtra and it has the ability to add an element to the header area, and in the selection drop down it showed the WPML selector which I selected. There is no Polylang selector option anywhere.

    HOWEVER, I can add a custom shortcode to this area. Do you have such a code I can input and check. What I need is just the two (or One language) selector button horizontally displayed, instead of a drop down. i.e ENG / FRE I do not need the flags either.

    If you can let me know of such a shortcode I would greatly appreciate it.
