    Howdy!

    Thanks for your comprehensive guide.

I have installed Customizr theme that is currently work with Polylang for multilingual website and the translation works for all pages.

The only problem is the Home page which would stay in English (eg. the strings of “Feature page” and its description and pretty much of everything in the Home page. However my custom menu stay in the language that is currently set) when I return from other page that has the language set to other than English.

In your guide did you mention there is no need to add bridge code and create a child theme to resolve this anymore?

I am confusing as I searched anywhere I could for the solution but not much luck.

    Thank you for your input.

  • Hello,
did you follow that guide? Is still valid except for the snippet which is now embedded in the core.
Did you follow the bullet “Translate text” and can’t you see the Featured Pages texts?

    Hi d4z,

I’d follow most of the part, it was just the “set up the slider” and “bridge code snippet” left out.

I’d also done the setup in the guide here, http://doc.presscustomizr.com/customizr/translating-customizr/
Not sure if I did it right however the language I wanted ONLY appeared after I added the .po and .mo file downloaded from some other guide.

Do I need do the slider setup part to get features text translated then?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    sorry don’t get ..
Did you put some text in the Featured Pages text areas in Apperance -> Customize -> Content.. -> Front Page -> Featured Pages Options ?

Then you go in Settings -> Languages -> Strings translation and you don’t see, for example, an entry called :
“Featured text one (200 car. max)” ?

    Hi d4z,

Follow your instruction I was able to see the string translation for features text in the Setting > Languages already.

    A million thanks. 🙂

    Glad to hear that! 😀
Would you mind marking this topic as resolved?

    Thanks 😉
