  • Hello, dear Didlier,

We have just tested the directorist with the Poylang plugin with WordPress default theme (updated version of the twenty-twelve theme) and we did not find any conflict. We could browse every page perfectly. Everything was working perfectly fine. So, yes, it is compatible with Polylang plugin. However, we did not test with WPML plugin (we think meant WPML BY WMPL). However, the plugin provides standard gettext translation that WordPress recommends. So, it should work with WPML too.

We suggest you try with a different theme or contact with polylang team as we could not reproduce your problem in our test. Thank you very much for your kind understanding.

If you have any problem, feel free to ask us anytime.

    Hello,

Thanks for your test and verification 🙂

I did also some debugging after my post and I found that the URLs are giving problems. Polylang allows you to show pretty permlinks. By default, this is activated so I use this. If I use the full, standard URLs, Directorist and my pages works fine.

    Try this:

in Polylang settings -> URL modifications.
    Enable:
    Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
Hide URL language information for default language

As this default setting hides the “language” word from the URL, it gives me an 404 error when I browse a page (in any language). When switching to the setting

    ” Keep /language/ in pretty permalinks ”

my pages work fine again. Directorist supports multilanguage as far as I can see.

So there is the compatibility problem with this URL permlinks. Can you check this out ?

    Many thanks,

    Didier.

    Hello,

Chasing back on this Polylang compatibility problem when using pretty urls. See my bug report above.

Can this be fixed? I would really like to use this plugin on my multilingual website.

    Many thanks,

    Didier.
