 * Hi,
    I’m using your helpful plugin, and I’d like to solve an issue regarding
   compatibility with Polylang. My default language is set to English and the other
   language is Italian. I realized that when I share the Italian version link of
   my homepage on Facebook, (For example “www.mydomain.com/it)”, the description
   remains in English (the one I set on “Frontpage settings” section of Yoast) and
   not the translated one on Polylang “String stranslations”. Is there something
   I can do to solve that?

 * Hello [@fadipet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fadipet/) ,
 * Thank you for using our plugin! We are sorry to hear about the issue you are
   having. We understand that when you share the Italian link of your site, the
   description remains in English. We’ve checked and found [the same issue raised in Polylang Github page](https://github.com/polylang/polylang/issues/505).
   In the report, it is suggested you switch to Yoast SEO 13.5 until Polylang releases
   a version that fixes the issue. This is something that Polylang will address
   in their future release. Not until then, you can download an older version of
   Yoast SEO [here](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-seo.13.5.zip).

 * Thanks for the reply. You understand the right about my issue. However, I downgraded
   the Yoast Seo version to 13.5 but the result is the same. I have also tried cleaning
   the cache but the problem remains the same. Only if I disable OpenGraph from
   Yoast Seo Facebook settings, the description is translated.

 * Update: Using Sharing debugger (Facebook for developer) the “<meta name=”description”
   content=” is the right one (italian language) but the “<meta property=”og:description”
   content=” is in English language.

 * Update: I changed the description (English language) from the Yoast “Facebook
   settings” section (previuosly was the meta description copy) and I realized that
   no new one string on “Strings Translation” Polylang section is generated. So
   Yoast cannot find the translation and always shows the description in English
   language.
    I’m using Yoast Seo 13.5 version and Polylang 2.6.2 version What can
   I do?

 * Thank you [@fadipet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fadipet/) for your replies
   and troubleshooting.
 * Did you mean version 2.7.2 of Polylang? If it is still 2.6.2 on your site, please
   do update Polylang (2.6.2 is from July 2019) and check if it resolves the issue.
   We checked again, but can’t replicate different opengraph descriptions in our
   test environments with Yoast SEO 13.5 and Polylang 2.7.2 running.

 * We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you
   require any further assistance please create a new issue.
