Polylang causes "too many redirects" error

    Hello,

    i build my site at domain.com/subdirectory , installed the polylang at that location too.

    After i moved my site to root (domain.com),the site displays “ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS” error,but i can access to admin dashboard. When i deactivate plugin,problem disappears.

    Any solutions? thanks in advance.

    I had the same problem

    My wordpress adress and site adress where the same and I installed polylang, as it added the language “/en/” in all urls it also created a website example.com/en, which was basically a list of posts…

    My fix was in Settings – General
    Wordpress Address URL http://example.com/en
    Site address URL http://example.com

    Now your Home or Front page has a URL as the TITLE, I changed the SLUG with Quick Edit to “index” and that was it

    Sry, in my polylang setting I have selected
    The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id
    Example: http://example.com/en/ instead of http://example.com/en/index/

    you can also try selecting and unselecting that option
