    Hello,
I use Polylang with two languages FR (main language) + EN (secondary language).
In the sitemap only the FR pages appear.
Is there a way to solve this?
    Best,
    Franck

    Hi Franck,

The SEO Framework’s sitemap is quite limited towards those types of plugins.

So, for a more advanced sitemap solution you can choose any of the many popular available sitemap plugins.
The SEO Framework will automatically detect those plugins to prevent any conflicts.

I’ve heard that the <Google XML Sitemaps> plugin works very well alongside The SEO Framework :).

Please let us know if that sitemap plugin works according to your needs. Cheers!

    Sybre,

Thanks a lot for this very quick answer! 🙂

I worked before with another solution (complicated, changing my admin area in a Christmas Tree (ads everywhere), expensive and with a bad support.

I would like to know how thankful I am for you to have provided all of us a very serious alternative.

    Have a great day,

    Franck

    Anytime Franck!

Let me know if this topic is resolved :).
I’m still not sure about that. Cheers!

    Hi Sybre,

I installed and activated Google XML Sitemaps.
So The EN pages appear now in the XML sitemap.
I will verify in Google WebMaster that everything is fine.

    So the topic is resolved.
Of course to add another plugin is not the best solution.
It would be better for the SEO framework to add this kind of Google XML Sitemaps feature in the future! LOL

Thanks again and have a great day!

    Hi Franck,

    That’s good to hear :).

New features of the sitemap are planned.
Also, in the upcoming version multiple cache keys for the sitemap will be created for multilingual websites :). It still requires some testing but I think it will work!

    Cheers!

    Hi Sybre,

    Great news! 🙂

I will be happy to test it when you are ready.

    Thanks once again!

    Hi Franck,

I’ve implemented it yesterday, but I haven’t even found time to test it myself yet.

If you’d like to test a bleeding edge nightly version that’s planned to be released in December, feel free to grab a copy from GitHub:
    https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework
    <Direct download>

However, be prepared for some new bugs :). So I wouldn’t recommend running it on a production website.

Keep in mind you’d have to overwrite the /wp-content/plugins/autodescription/ folder’s content with the copy from GitHub.

    Have a wonderful weekend!
