• Hello,
after I updated WordPress to the version 4.7.5 and Optimizer to the version 0.5.2, Polylang doe not work anymore.

    The website does not load.

I already tried to deactivated all the plugins but the issue remains.

If I want to use the website I have to deactivate Polylang but in this way all the languages (english and chinese) are display in the same page.

What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks

  • I have the same exact issues. None of what I do solves the issue. I need this fixed asap, I am starting up a bilingual site with your plug-in but if it does not get solved soon I will need to find a different one

In the meantime I uninstalled an reinstalled the plug-in. Went to the settings and just saved everything. This seems to solve the issue. Although I understand that we can only expect limited support (if any) for a free version of a plug-in I would have liked at least some response from the dev as the free plugin is now “breaking” websites

    Dear @jay7806,
    thanks for the reply.
Can you explain to me precisely what you did to solve the issue?

Do you have the 2.1.4 version of Polylang or a previous one?

    Thanks

    Dear @jay7806,
    thank you for the reply.
Can you explain to me precisely what you did to solve the problem?
What version of Polylang are you using?

    Thanks.

Hey rrcstudio, sorry that I didn’t go into details.

Yes I did uses PL 2.1.4

What I did was pretty simple, first of all I made a backup just to be sure.
Then without touching any settings or such I uninstalled the already deactivated PL 2.1.4 plug in. Then simply reinstalled it, activated it and went to the settings. After that it just worked again.

    Hi
I am glad to see that I do face the same issue as you, but unfortunately desinstalling/reinstalling the plug in did NOT solve the issue.
When Polylang is activated, the website does not load.
When Polylang is deactivated, the website is loading but all languages are displayed on the same page…

Any other tip to solve this ?

    Thanks / merci

    Dear @cmizrahi,
I tried to uninstalled and then reinstalled Polylang but it didn’t work for me either.
I also tried to roll back to several previous versions but the issue remains.

Hopefully someone will be able to fix the problem.

    thanks
