I find the layout to be easy to read… well, at first the center text sort of blended with the gray background. But my eyes are tired.
Looks good to me.
While I like the discussions, I would have to say the design is pretty much lacking.
Lack of color, focal points, engagement and there is no intensity. In fact the only focal points seem to be the google adwords.
The page itself is very easy to read, but not nearly as aesthic as a simply newspaper. Not trying to be offensive, or overly critical, just giving an opinion.
IMHO, the site would be better served with at least some intensity in the design or even by just adding some cooling colors for a comfortable engagement.
If I wanted to give the area in back of each of the articles a color how would I do that? I guess it would be a table or div with a fill color? Any suggestions? Thanks
In your CSS you have a .post class, simply add background-color: #xxxxxx.
That will change the center column to another color. You may want to play around with that and the text color.
