Would you please let us know some details?

Specifically what version of Jetpack and WordPress were you running, what version of PHP was your server running, and what error did you see?

Sorry, over the years I have moved from one server and host to another and do not have much data. I wrote the warning now because I am building a new wordpress site and saw your plugin show up and literally burst into tears and a nervous sweat. Looking at my old site, it’s a deactivated version 8.1. PHP, couldn’t tell you. In the three times I have attempted to use jetpack, the site for which it was used went stark white. Dead and gone. Every time it happened, I went to the host support and they deactivated the plugin and restored my site. It continues to sit because I am even afraid to delete it for fear that will trigger another calamity. Specific error: Don’t know, never saw one, just my sites, one on godaddy, two on fatcow.com, dead. I will take a guess, however, that in both cases, whatever version of PHP they used was the latest. Both companies and my current one, GreenGeeks, use the latest versions of everything.

Ok, that of course definitely shouldn’t happen, so if it ever does happen again, please do let us know at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can help you with this.

Thanks, but I would be nuts to risk that again!
