  • Resolved rwbra

    (@rwbra)

I have developed my leaderscool.com/wordpress on a thesis theme. I purchased leaderscool.com from GoDaddy. When someone types leaderscool.com I want them to go to leaderscool.com/wordpress.

I have tried to follow GoDaddy help and now both have crashed (Obviously my stuff up). I can’t get to my wordpress dashboard and leaderscool.com says website temporarily unavailable.

I will PAY someone to do this for me.

  • I tried to open leaderscool.com/wordpress I saw this error This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.

are you able to ping your server?

    Try contact your host.

I have your email ElanTechnosys. Can’t see your response here though. I can get into the server via Filezilla. Is that what you mean?

OK, ElanTechnosys. Ping results give me 69.25.27.173

Is that the IP address I need to change in the DNS setting?

No it gave you your server ip how much packets your received from your server?

No! Made a mistake. Ping gave me 64.202.189.170 but the request timed out.

    Packets sent 4. Received 0

it looks like your server isn’t responding the pings as you didn’t received the ping response from your server contact your host and tell them the issue they will be able to solve it.

Ok. Will do. Thank you for your assistance.

    Thanks rockt204,

I am sure I will because I must have wrecked everything. I have several blogger blogs which are working well. I thought I would go for the semi-real deal but am making a MEAL of it. I am waiting for GoDaddy to respond as to why I can’t ping leaderscool.com

leaderscool.com is now visible. WordPress is reloaded but now I have lost the leaderscool.com/wordpress I developed using the thesis theme I purchased. Is there any way to retrieve lost wordpress file?

Looks like I have to start again. Oh well!

Run a traceroute test to your domain. This will pinpoint where the exact error in your connection is. Here’s a guide to do so:

Thanks Tim, but I had to reinstall WP so I guess I lost my previous work. No major drama. It is a new site and can be redone without too much drama. I appreciate your help.
    Bob

Well, good deal. At least you resolved your issue.

When I go to /wordpress on your site it is giving 404 error check wordpress directory exsists on your server.
