Hello again. In short, I’m using GF Post Fields/Custom Field Multi Select to connect it to custom taxonomy (skills list). It displays well in the front end. When the user tries to submit the form weird things start to happen. Instead of selected items from the taxonomy list, the final submission has numbers generated inside the square brackets, like [“121″,”125″,”124″,”123″,”122″,”126”]. Those numbers are not related to ID’s of those items in the list.

Another weird thing that we have noticed, which may not be related to this plugin. One of our Administrators tried to fill the form and, except for what I mentioned above, it turned out that the final post wasn’t assigned to him but to a user who is registered on our site but doesn’t have anything to do with the submitted post.

Looks like this isn’t a problem with this plugin only. Difference is that I’m almost 100% sure that the numbers I get aren’t taxonomy ID’s but I will check again. Unfortunately admin of that plugin didn’t provide any solution for the problem.

Are you using both plugins? Can you try it without the other plugin and see if you’re still having the issue?

@boonika Any resolution with your issue? Did you try the troubleshooting step above?

I’m going to assume @boonika since we haven’t heard any further from you on this one that you are no longer having the issue. If you are, please respond to this issue and re-open or create a new issue.

    Thanks!

Sorry for waiting. No, I didn’t use that other plugin, just found that it had a similar problem. Also, the problem with taxonomies wasn’t solved so I switched to another plugin for the front-end submission and editing of the custom post types (WP Frontend Publishing Pro). In the meantime, I also tried doing it with Caldera front-end publishing and editing, an amazing plugin which works almost as good, just make no sense to allow everyone from the same role to edit everyone’s else entries, so I decided to give up on it.
