Support » Plugin: Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields » Pods – Admin pages and parent menu

I have created many pods, where some of these are Advanced Content Types (ACT), while some others are normal.

In order to make the admin site more simple to use for our employees, I have created different admin pages (outside Pods, using WP “add_menu_page”). I want these admin-pages to be a manual, explaining how to use the page from a practial point of view, in addition to group the different pods under these pages.

    And here is the problem:

If the pods grouped to the admin-page only are ACT’s, the admin-page itself shows as a seperate page within the submenu. But if one of the pods grouped are “normal”, one of these will, replace the admin-page in the top-level menu, in addition to removing the page in the second-level.

Why does this occur? And is it an easy way to fix the problem?

Can you share any screenshots of exactly whats happening here?

Can you verify these details are correct:

    1. You have multiple Advanced Content Types
    2. You have multiple Custom Post Types
    3. You added your own menu page with add_menu_page
    4. You used Pods to set a custom parent menu for the ACTs
    5. You used Pods to set a custom parent menu for one of the CPTs
    6. The CPT now overrides the entire custom menu page you created in #3

    Is that correct?
