Podpress – Using Video Podcasting with .m4v files
I have just installed v8.8 of PodPress. It seems great and is working well with audio (.mp3) files. However when I try and use it with .m4v files (exported from Camtasia Studio 5.1) two things don’t happen:
Firstly the podcast file (.m4v) doesn’t appear as a link in the RSS Feed (I have ticked the box in the podpres settings that says “Show Download Links in RSS Encoded Content”) whereas the .mp3 files did.
Secondly when I susscribe to my feed in iTunes, and the podcasts are video files (.mov, .mp4 or .m4v) iTunes gives me an error message saying there is no media associated with the feed and that it may be just a text feed.
Why is this? Can anyone shed any light?
I have made sure that my server can recognise and serve all these file extensions so I don’t think it is that.
