  • Dave,

I have tried to open this Feed with IE7, IE8, FF 3.6.x, Safari 5.0.3 (Win), Chromium 6.0.4xxx and Chrome 9.0.597.98 (Debian) and it was always possible.
    The Feed is valid.

    I see no problem.

Could you describe what happens when you try to open the feed page e.g. in Chrome? Does it stay blank? Or is there any kind of error message?

Have you tried to reload the page after you have opened it?

    Regards,
    Tim

Thank you for taking the time to check Tim.

I sent your answer to one person who had the problem, and he said his laptop is old so that might be the problem.

Waiting for another response from somebody else who couldn’t open the page.

I show that there is a new version of Podpress available. Will this mess up the version you gave me so I can post copy in excerpt and not have the player pop up twice?

Here is what it says to upgrade:

You have version 8.8.9.2 RC 5 installed. Update to 8.8.9.2.
Compatibility with WordPress 3.0.5: 100% (according to its author)

Here is something my brother noticed while doing some testing:

FireFox works since RSS is built in

Had issues in IE: Change RSS URL from feed://www.breakthesilence.com/feed/ to http://www.breakthesilence.com/feed/

Chrome doesn’t work by default: Needs RSS extenstion called “RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)” from “https://chrome.google.com/extensions/”

Yes, you can upgrade the podPress version. This new option is now an integral part of podPress.

If I open the feed://… URL in FF then it changes also to http://.. . That is no problem. In fact if you publish your feed URL somewhere you should use the URL with http:// at the beginning.

Yes, you need this extension to see a nice view of a feed and to probably to sub scribe to the feed. But it is possible to open the RSS page in Chrome without this extension. Without the extension this page looks a little bit chaotic because there are e.g. no line breaks.
