• I just installed podpress and have gone into the feed/itunes settings section.

There is a pic of mighty mouse there as you all may know. I want to obviously change that, but there is no button or place to change that.

    How do I do that?

Once that is changed, I can then further add my feed to itunes.

podPress makes it possible to customize all kinds of feeds. Which feed would you like to customize?

Basically you would need to insert the complete URL of the custom feed image. You need two versions of the image. One for the setting iTunes:Image. This image should be 1400×1400 pixels wide. The other image has to be smaller: 144×144 px. Enter the full URL of this version as the RSS image.

thank you! got it taken care of.

    second question…

    i have a feed in podpress. http://talkhealth360.com/?feed=podcast

does that look wrong. it won’t validate?

however, when i put just the domain in to validate, it does. (www.talkhealth360)

It of course doesn’t take in itunes, but it did yesterday evening.

however. i did change the image, and immedietely after went to itunes. does it take some time to adjust?

the evening before it did take in itunes, but I did not fully submit it because the image was wrong.

    what are your thoughts…

    Yes. The feed is fine.
The messages of the validator are only recommendations. One of them regards the number of media files per post. The background is that podcatcher software like iTunes recognize only one media file per post and ignore the other files. That is why you should consider following this recommendation. However If you don’t do that, the feed will still be okay. But iTunes will only show and play the first of the 3 files.

Yes. The iTunes server looks only once per day for updates.

BTW: the RSS image is 150x150px and not 144x144px and the iTunes:image is 624x624px and not 1400x1400px as recommended. (If you update the files change the file names a little bit. The iTunes will recognize them better this way.)
