Hi @centosa,
Under Episode Image, you can simply select manually the same image as the featured image from the media library. SSP creates the appropriate thumbnail format automatically.
This is precisely the problem. The images I add always have the landscape format, to make it uniform to the post header, then wordpress thinks about creating the other formats, such as the square 300×300
Your plugin requires me to have a square format, which actually already exists as a WordPress 300×300 thumbnail format. So why do I have to upload another square image, since it already exists?
Hello @centoasa!
You can use 2 different fields for it – featured image for your posts, which can have landscape format, and Episode Image field for a player and feeds, which is square.
Also, if you’d like to automatically use a thumbnail from your featured image as a player image, and have some PHP knowledge, you can do it by using the ssp_html_player_data
filter.
And for the feeds, you can use the ssp_feed_item_image
filter.
Hope this helps.

Sergiy, development team.
