This is the case if the duration values in the feed are 0:01 or if they are in a format iTunes does not recognize correctly.

If you use the Auto Detect button, podPress will try to discover the duration value from media file. But there are circumstance which prevent th automatic detection of the duration in such a case you may insert the value manually. It should the format hh:mm:ss (hours, minutes, seconds).

I’ve been having the same issue, and yes, the automatic detection is no longer working (it used to until a few months ago). How can the automatic detection be fixed so that I don’t have to start manually entering in the time durations from now on? Thanks!

    Hi Alison,

how do you add the location of the media file? Do you add the complete URLs?

Are the media files on the same server (domain) as your blog?

Could you try to let podPress retrieve/show the ID3 tags of one of your latest podcast episodes? If podPress can not retrieve these information it may show an helpful error message instead.

    Regards,
    Tim
