[resolved] Podcast controls disappear a second after pageload (2 posts)

    On the podcast page, the player controls appear and then immediately disappear, to be covered up by a gray bar. If I cancel the page load before while I still have the controls, I can play the audio no problem, but if I let the page fully load, they get covered up again. Looking at the HTML, it looks like the simple "podcast_player" div gets replaced with a ton of embedded divs enclosed in an "mejs-container" div. Is it possible to just use the simple HTML that loads initially? That seems to be working perfectly for me...

    I finally figured out the issue. Seems the template I was using, Pinboard, was calling a couple scripts that were breaking the podcast. The scripts were wp-mediaelement.js and mediaelement-and-player.min.js, located in /wp-includes/js/mediaelement/. I commented out the following in my functions.php file:

    $('audio,video').mediaelementplayer({
    			videoWidth: '100%',
    			videoHeight: '100%',
    			audioWidth: '100%',
    			alwaysShowControls: true,
    			features: ['playpause','progress','tracks','volume'],
    			videoVolume: 'horizontal'
    		});

    There were two calls to it.

    The player seems to be working properly now.
