PNG images corrupt in WordPress package? (3 posts)

I downloaded 2.0.2 and installed it today. I've done a number of WordPress and other similar AMP-based solutions, so am familiar with the system.

The problem I have appears to be with the PNG files that came with the WordPress package. The screenshots for the Default & Classic themes, as well as the WordPress logo - in other words, all teh png files - appear to be corrupted. They will not load in IE, giving the broken image (red X) instead, and Firefox says the image contains errors.

Attempts to re-save in Photoshop were fruitless, perhaps because I don't know much about image formats and errors in same. Please help!!!

I wonder if your ftp program correctly transferred the files to your server. Some older ftp programs may not know to switch to binary mode when transferring pngs.
