• I downloaded 2.0.2 and installed it today. I’ve done a number of WordPress and other similar AMP-based solutions, so am familiar with the system.

The problem I have appears to be with the PNG files that came with the WordPress package. The screenshots for the Default & Classic themes, as well as the WordPress logo – in other words, all teh png files – appear to be corrupted. They will not load in IE, giving the broken image (red X) instead, and Firefox says the image contains errors.

Attempts to re-save in Photoshop were fruitless, perhaps because I don’t know much about image formats and errors in same. Please help!!!

  • I wonder if your ftp program correctly transferred the files to your server. Some older ftp programs may not know to switch to binary mode when transferring pngs.

That happened to me with the admin post widgets (or what ever you want to call them) but I did not figure that out till some said there were + that showed up.
