I am new to wordpress and I would like to know if anyone has used a plugin to create a registration for a conference.

You can just use a contact form plugin. What features do you want?

Maybe use a third party tool such as Eventbrite that can handle a lot of the admin side of things, not just registration. Inevitably there’s a WordPress plugin for it.

Harpdeep, I need a conference registration that will accept payments, allow registrants to pick the days they want to come and which breakout sessions that registrants can sign up for.

Breakout session attendance list, create continueing education credits certificates, etc.

Pretty much all the aspects you would need to hold a multi-day conference.

You should look into Camptix: https://wordpress.org/plugins/camptix/

And Gravity Forms: http://www.gravityforms.com/
