 * I am having trouble getting my plugins to show up on my site. I upload them, 
   install, and activate and they don’t show up. I am using the BuddyPress Default
   theme.

 * It seems your site has no content at all. Either you must have deleted it or 
   it is case of site defacement by hackers, it seems.
