# Plugins/API Key — Could Not Open Socket?!?!

 * Hi All —
 * I’m trying to install WordPressStats and Akismet. I have my API key and have 
   entered in for each one, however I keep getting the following error message:
 * Transport error – could not open socket: 111 Connection refused
 * I’m new to all of this am and learning as I go. Any suggestions for what to do
   to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
