I recently upgraded to WordPress v5.2 and am now having issues updating 2 plugins.

First, earlier today I was having issues with the pages not updating. During save page, the page would redirect to posts area of WordPress. I disabled about 6 plugins and then the pages started saved just fine. I then re-enabled the plugins and now the pages continue to update just fine. I think it was the Hummingbird plugin not clearing cache but not sure. Either way, that problem seems to be cleared up.

The issue I still have is 2 of my plugins won’t update: Yoast SEO and N-Media WooCommerce PPOM. If I go to the updates page and check both of these, and then click update, the updates seems to start but then just stops. In that, the plugins starts to update by Enabling Maintenance mode…, then the Updating plugin displays…, and then nothing else happens or shows. Like it starts and then hangs. If I go directly to the plugin page and try and update, I get this message:
Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
    for both plugins.

All my folders have 755 permissions, and this only seemed to start happening after the WordPress v5.2 update. Site was working fine before this. Using PHP v7.3 since the site was built many months ago just fine. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

It looks like there is something wrong in your hosting.

I suggest contacting the hosting support to resolve this issue.

Otherwise, please try to install manually with FTP.

I think, You have a lack of hosting space for download and extract the zip.

Could you be physically out of disk space or at the disk quota limit for your hosting? It appears that the file is not downloading completely.
