  • This is a wish !

I’ve just been looking at my database and in particular wp_options (except that I no longer use wp as a prefix) I notice it is full of entries that relate to plugins that for various reasons I no longer use.

I hate “bloating” of any kind.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all plugins had an option de-activate (I may have second thoughts and want to use it again) and/or uninstall (I want it out of my WP system) or, at least, a list of entries that they make in the database so that one could clean up manually…

Or am I alone in thinking this ?

No, you’re not. The “clean up on deactivation” option is there in WordPress core but it’s up to the plugin developers to use it.
