    I've ftp'd files over to the plugins and they are not showing up. I changed the theme but still no luck. I have about 4 plugins that are not showing up. Any help would be appreciated.

    Sorry, new to this, but wanted to clarify, when I ftp them, they show in the plugin directory. However, when I go into wp plugins the ftp'd plugins are not showing.

    If you have done this recently, recheck your upload path and make sure they went where you think they did. The only plugin I see in your plugin directory currently, that did not come with WordPress, is the WP-PlugIM.php. After verification that you did indeed upload them to the correct location, you may want to confirm that you are able to at least activate the other plugins that came with WordPress, and eliminate WordPress as the source of the issue.

    As a side note, I'm not positive, but you may want to see if WordPress 2.5.1 is supported by the WP-PlugIM plugin. The read me indicates the following:

    === WP-PlugIM ===
    Contributors: MichelleMacPhearson
    Donate link: http://blog.michellemacphearson.com/
    Tags: plugim, votebox, widget, social bookmarking, vote, submit, digg
    Requires at least: 2.0.2
    Tested up to: 2.1

    Best wishes.

    @nyfamily: make sure that the plugins have their own folder within /plugins.

    So for instance, if you're installing any plugin (let's call it 'ABC') with files such as abc.php in the /ABC folder, your FTP should have this directory structure

    This explanation by whooami might be clearer.
