  • I needed to have Ignore URL Arguments enabled.

    This is a bit confusing because if a URL can affect its children, its query string should be dropped for comparison, but it’s not.

    Also, when Ignore URL Arguments is disabled, the query vars are not checked individually, they are only checked as a string, exactly as they appear in the request. So, currently, (to filter all posts being edited) would never work, since the WP address never appears that way.

    Yes you are correct. The URL is matched exactly how it appears in your address bar.
