    Hello,

This plugin worked perfectly with one of my sites, however, on a different one, the plugins are not activated as was the case with my other site.

In the Advanced Options (Installer “Update” step) shows “Activate Plugins” but the box is empty.

Normally not a major issue, however, I am using a RocketTheme site that runs off the Gantry Framework Plugin. When I activate it (after using the Installer), none of the Theme settings are there and I have to completely re-generate all menus, widgets, etc…

… I also tried using the Developer plugin version (same result)

  • Hey @jasond5,

I’m not 100% sure how the authors for that theme store data, I would double check with them after the process is ran and have them look at how the theme settings were saved before and after. If they find that the values are not updating or are not correct have them contact me with what didn’t get set or not set correctly and I’ll evaluate that data chain.

    Thanks~

Thanks for the response. I will see if they can provide that detail regarding theme settings.

Why wouldn’t the other plugins be automatically active?

    Hey @jasond5,

I’m not 100% sure to be honest. That select box your talking about is created by a value in the wp_options table. The only thing I can think of is that the option value wasn’t setup/queried/created correctly or something is not accurate with the data in that value. No-one has ever really reported that as an issue…

Well, interestingly enough. Tried it today and the plugins now show up!

Bad news is there were several database write errors and getting blank screen result from import but I think they are limited to custom “Views” I created on the live site that I don’t really need on the localhost.

Do I need to set Permalinks back to “Defualt” before Duplicating? I also tried disabling the “mysqldump” setting and that produced a worse result.

Are there other Advanced Options I should try?

Those look like possible database users settings. You may try and make sure your database is setup correctly permission wise. If your not sure how to do that then you may need to enlist the help of the server administrator for that system…

Didn’t think this would work or matter, but I deactivated some minor plugins to see if that would make a difference and sure enough, that was the issue. After the duplication, I re-enabled the plugins and all seems well!

    Thanks for the help.

One thing that didn’t seem to properly transfer was the images. They look to be there but are not showing up. Just shows the placeholder for an image.

Any idea what that is about?

    Hey @jasond5,

Checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
-> Find section: “2. Installer=> Why are some of my plugins/images/links not updating?”

    Hope that helps!
