 * As recently as yesterday, my list of installed plugins were accessible on manage
plugins. Today the list is completely gone. Although the plugins are still active
according to my webhost (Bluehost), the list which allows upgrading/activation/
   deactivation is completely gone.
Anyone have any suggestions on what happened
or how to correct? Bluehost performed a backup/restore but that did not populate
the list and they suggested I contact WordPress. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 * why is there a php.ini in your plugins directory? I can tell you thats NOT doing
   anything for you.
 * what happens when you delete that?

 * Not sure why its there, actually I didn’t realize it. The description says :”
This file controls many aspects of PHP’s behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read
it, it must be named ‘php.ini’. PHP looks for it in the current ; working directory,
in the path designated by the environment variable ; PHPRC, and in the path that
was defined in compile time (in that order).” Wouldn’t it cause me problems if
   I delete it?

 * No, which is why I suggested deleting it.

 * Thanks for the advice. I removed it.
 * I still need to figure out why my manage plugins page is empty and how to restore
   them.

 * I discovered the problem. I use the Tidy-Up Plugin. When I was notified there
was an update, I used automatic update. Once this plugin was updated, it caused
all plugins to be removed from Manage Plugins. I discovered this when my subdomain
had the same update and after updating, it also removed the Manage List. I was
able to screen back and then deactivate the plugin and the Manage Plugin list
   returned.
